I went to my oncologist to read the PET scan that I took yesterday. The pet scan follows the trace of the isotope injected glucose and detects any abnormal cell activity. If there is any cancer cell alive, it shows up in the scan, because cancer cells are hungry for sugar.

Even though there can be a resolution error, nothing but inflammation was seen inside my esophagus. The treatment I endured for the past few weeks wiped out the cancer cells. Even though I still have to go through the surgery soon, this is the best result I could hope for.

From now on, I have to walk as much as possible to gain strength for the surgery.

(I will write another entry later to convey what I wrote in the following long Japanese entry.)
