午前中は教会へ行く。そこで紹介されたエミリーディキンソンの詩がとてもよかった。春の上天気の中の喜びが伝わってくる。

４時に空港へ行くタクシーに乗り込み、７時１５分の飛行機でラスベガスへ。１０時（ボストン時間だと午前１時）に到着したのだが、ホテルまでのタクシーが長蛇の列。こんな夜でも気温は３０度を有に超していて、外はむっとするような熱風が吹いている。ホテルに到着したのは１１時過ぎ。一つだけ資料が入っていたので、その訳を済ませてから寝たので、就寝は２時（5時。）
