Today is the New Year’s Eve.

This has been a wonderful and focused year, despite and because of the cancer.

This year I discovered:

Blog,

That I have a loving family,

That I have many friends,

That I am a part of a community,

That there are so many birds in the world,

That modern medicine can work miracles,

That oriental medicine nourishes you,

That the democratic process works not only in Massachusetts, but also nationwide,

That I can tolerate needles and that I can throw up if I need to,

That I love food, no matter what,

That I do not like shots, no matter what,

That I prefer reading and writing to cleaning rooms, no matter what,

And that I am still young and can face the unknown.

Most of all, this was the year that I discovered how abundantly I am blessed and loved.
