We are having another record rain, and it is quite chilly and depressing. I wonder if this is because of the global warming.

I had two tests today. One was trans-virginal ultrasound to check my uterus and ovaries.
The PET scan picked up suspicious shadow in my ovaries, and my oncologist wanted to make sure that nothing is wrong in this department. The result was clear!

In the heavy rain, we left for Boston at 6:10 P.M. for the head MRI that was scheduled at 8:00 P.M. This test is to make sure that the tumor has not spread to my brain. This was my first ever MRI, and I was surprised how noisy it is. I am not sure how my friends, who confided in me that she fell asleep during the MRI, managed to do so. I was also pleasantly surprised that they have MRI service during the nighttime.

Last night was the first night I had trouble falling asleep (for about 30 minutes,) probably because I am nervous about tomorrow’s ultrasound endoscopy.

Yesterday, my fried whose husband works at Mayo Clinic sent me a list of top Boston area thoracic surgeons. I was pleased to see the surgeon I met on Monday listed on top of the list, as the one who gets the most votes. It is very reassuring, when you see a doctor recommend another doctor in his field.

At MRI test counter, one of the receptionists was eating her dinner; homemade pasta dish in the plastic container and a Danish pastry as desert. I was mesmerized how quickly she could gulp down the food. No, I should say that her eating reminded me how and what people eat normally. I have been eating quite slowly these days, because I choke on food if I do not chew well. I am also avoiding red meat and sweets, and the pastry looked darn good!
